ManpowerGroup Maintenance Manager in Athens, Tennessee

Directs and coordinates all activities of the weld maintenance function within the framework of Corporate and Plant Objectives and in full compliance with local, state, and federal laws in regard to building and operating.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides general management for department in relation to maintenance functions for the facility including building utility systems, equipment maintenance and building and grounds maintenance.

  • Ensures maintenance department objectives are met including project, cost, quality, and safety factors.

  • Optimizing production uptime.

  • Predictive Maintenance schedules for all production equipment.

  • Design assist and installation of new and or used production machinery and equipment.

  • Coordinating of equipment uptime with Engineering, Operations and Quality departments.

  • Supervision of production machinery in the production areas

  • Generating and upkeep of critical spare parts lists

  • Generating and working with the Athens Crib Consumables Usage team

  • Material allocation

  • Disposal of used oil, emulsion and oil separators

  • Supervising craftsmen and mechanics and carrying out work safety instruction

  • Coordinating and supervising building repairs (roofing work etc.)

  • Checking maintenance work generally and on compressors in particular

  • Remedying accident prevention issues and performing tests

  • Setting up work places to suit production machinery design and in co-operation with production.

  • Support 2 critical departmental KPI's MTTR and MTBF

  • Conscious of cost and production impact of downtime on any machinery and equipment.

  • Design and implement preventive/predictive maintenance programs.

  • Provide accurate and timely feedback about production machinery and equipment to appropriate supervisor.

EXPERIENCE

  • 6-8 years of plant maintenance and or engineering

  • Strong knowledge of compressed air, robotics, mechanical systems, and plant electrical systems

  • Strong project management experience

  • Strong demonstrated interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated use of TPM and Predictive Maintenance systems

JOB SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing setting

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Manufacturing maintenance experience

  • Demonstrate ability to train and mentor

  • Demonstrate ability to problem solve under pressure
