Description:
A clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who has demonstrated expertise in the perioperative field. Effectively delivers perioperative care to the surgical patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. The RN II assists with the supervision of non- professional personnel in the area. By assessment of the individual patient and procedure, he/she anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides such services, maintaining aseptic and safe environment. The RN II utilizes initiative and strives to maintain steady level of productivity.
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current GA State license, certified in CPR on hire and unit specific advanced competencies; ACLS and PALS with 1 year of hire.
B. Education : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, able to read and write English.
C. Experience: RN with OR experience preferred, minimum of 2 years Med/
Surg experience preferred. Successful completion of Level I requirements.
