Trinity Health Front Office Assistant, Johnson and Murthy Family Practice in Athens, Georgia

Description:

Performs a variety of front office duties for the medical practice. Forward all medical record requests to designated department. Secures accurate insurance and demographic information from the patient to be entered into the computer system. Answer and route incoming telephone calls as needed. Must be familiar with insurance rules and billing practices in order to assist patients with questions. Assist with patient check out and scheduling of any ordered diagnostic procedures, referrals to specialist and future appointments. Cross trained to cover Check-In and Check-Out. Collect copays and past due balances. Charge entry training desired. Excellent customer service a must.

High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. Knowledge Medical Terminology is preferred. Previous experience in a Physician Practice setting is preferred.
