Hiring a Facilities Technician to perform maintenance and equipment servicing in a regulated facility. This position involves hands-on work with HVAC, plumbing, and high-purity water systems.

Pay : $25-$28/hr

Type : Contract to hire

Shift : 2nd and 3rd Shifts Available

  • 2nd Shift, Team B – Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday, 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM (40 hours/week with a 30-minute break).

  • 3rd Shift, Team A – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, 10:00 PM to 8:30 AM (40 hours/week with a 30-minute break). Potential for full-time conversion based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist with general maintenance of facilities, HVAC systems, high-purity water systems, and equipment under supervision.

  • Perform routine cleaning, upkeep, and basic infrastructure tasks (e.g., painting, changing light bulbs).

  • Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) and repairs for equipment and control systems.

  • Operate and monitor high-purity water systems per SOPs to ensure uninterrupted supply.

  • Document all maintenance activities to comply with FDA/EU and GXP standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness of mechanical spaces, including exterior equipment locations and mezzanines.

  • Collaborate with team leaders, planners, technicians, operators, and contractors to address maintenance needs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to site policies and procedures.

Preferred Knowledge :

  • Understanding of USDA and EMEA requirements for master seeds and raw materials.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and coordinate in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications :

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience : 2+ years of combined education, training, and experience in carpentry, welding, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, mechanics, high-purity water systems, or fire systems.

Skills :

  • Basic understanding of carpentry, electricity, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Adaptable learner with a demonstrated ability to enhance technical knowledge.

  • Proficiency in basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

  • Familiarity with SAP-PM is desirable but not required.
