The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an enthusiastic, motivated student worker to our team in Atchison. As a Marketing/Business Intern, you will have the responsibility for helping the Marketing Manager complete tasks, such as, preparing graphics for digital and print signage, social media post, creating ID tags and placeholders, and promoting/hosting special events. This position will also assist the Regional District Manager with general business operations. This will provide insight for business operating procedures and managing a large account.

You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies. As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with our marketing manager in all stages of marketing campaigns. This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies.

What you'll be doing:

Marketing/Business Intern

Reports to: On-Site Management

Description: This position is responsible for assisting on-site with marketing and communication plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Marketing Manager on the in-unit marketing plan

• Assist with design, print and distribute materials, packaging, and other special projects

• Plan special events and promotions for residential and retail dining

o Collect and track data (customer traffic, revenue and satisfaction)

• Understands organization's goals in assigned projects

o Develops strategies to achieve those goals

o Adapts strategy to changing conditions

• Updates and maintains social media including, but not limited to, Facebook and Instagram

o Responsibilities include: uploading graphics and photos that are visually appealing to the target market

• Assist in marketing initiatives

o Print/Digital, in person events, surveys, samplings and tablings

• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in assigned projects; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality

• Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Keeps commitments

• Creative thinker with a clear understanding of marketing principles and good work practices

• Good communicator who can interact with a variety of personalities at all management levels and with customers at all levels

• Proactive person who can work independently and part of a team

• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects under strict deadlines

• Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position

• PC proficient, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be registered as a student and enrolled at least part time

• Must be majoring or minoring in marketing, communications, business or experienced field
