Alloy Surfaces Company, Inc. Subassembly Operator in Aston, Pennsylvania

SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is a production line operator.  The candidate must have a safety first mentality, quality and detail oriented, capable of following direction, making good observations during processing and have experience in repetitive manufacturing environment or a willingness to leaner these skills. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.

· Must be able to understand and perform all jobs within the Subassembly Department

o Piston insertion

o Crimping

o Cleaning

o Depth gauging 

o Magneforming

o Weighing

· Perform job as per Operations SOPs

· Must meet all production and quality goals

· Properly move material into and out of the glove box to reduce potential exposure to air/moisture

· Perform necessary documentation for product tracking and quality requirements

· Read, know, understand, and take ownership for all safety, quality, and processes in the area in which you are working.

· Able to detect and report to supervisor when process isn't running as it should or something doesn't appear correct.

· Maintain and provide daily production counts on each assignment worked.

· Acutely maintain daily time sheets 

· Must meet / exceed safety, quality, and production goals.

· Wear proper PPE for area in which you are working at all times

· Lift and move products as required and/or directed.

· Perform necessary housekeeping to maintain 5s work environment

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

· Attention to detail and repetitive processing

· Good understanding of basing measuring tools: scales, 

· Good dexterity to manipulate small components and thin materials 

· Ability to lift 40lbs

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

· Must be willing to work in an environment that requires a "Safety First" attitude.

· Must be willing to obey all Safety, Health & Environmental rules/regulations prescribed by regulatory agencies that are incorporated into company policy.

· Must report any unsafe acts or conditions immediately to their supervision and participate in a team hazard analysis to produce a work place that is free from hazards and personal injury.

· Must be able to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

· Must be technically or mechanically oriented with problem solving skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
