Job Summary

​​The CCG Distributor Relationship Representative I is responsible for representing Carhartt with Industrial Distributors, meeting the assigned revenue targets, managing channel specific programs, all communication both to and from the distributor, and developing and executing three-year Strategic Partnership Plans (SPPs) under the supervision of the CCG Regional Sales Manager. The position will involve working both independently and with cross-functional teams assigned to the business.​

Representative Responsibilities

  • Firm grasp of, and ability to clearly articulate, the CCG business and service model strategy. 

  • Knowledge of assigned accounts’ sales history, business model and target industries; lead business accordingly in a manner that leverages CCG to achieve revenue goals. 

  • Develops, gains account alignment and activates a 3-year Strategic Partnership Plan (SPP) that includes forecasted annual growth, key product focus, stocking commitment, sales strategy and marketing (if applicable) to achieve objectives. 

  • Manages business proactively and independently using available information, tools and resources 

  • Uses SPP and market intelligence to provide demand signals to planning and inform decisions. 

  • Knowledge and familiarity of CCG product assortment and key target industries 

  • Proactive account management and relationship building. Establishes self as a business partner to lead growth benefitting both Carhartt and the account. 

  • Monitors account performance against SPP; analyzes and understands the reason(s) for +/- performance.  If revenue plans are at risk raises awareness to channel leaders and proposes possible solutions. 

  • Solution-oriented with understanding of how, and when, to problem-solve independently versus when to elevate issues to channel manager. 

  • Effective and timely communications to distributors 

  • Engage and coordinate with CCG Regional sales team as needed to support large volume opportunities 

  • Utilizes Salesforce (CRM) to manage relevant distributor activity and track opportunities 

  • Adheres to sales policies and procedures and manage expenses according to corporate guidelines 

  • Understands and execute corporate objectives 

  • Performs other duties as required including but not limited to attending tradeshows and leading occasional face-to-face customer meetings 

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business or related field) or equivalent experience   

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1-3 years sales or marketing experience required; apparel industry preferred   

  • Above Average Skills in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

  • Salesforce experience preferred, but not required  

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Typical work from home and/or office environment. Extended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer is required.  

  • Willing to work some weekends if necessary. 

  • National and/or International travel required (up to 15%)   

  • May be required to lift up to 30lbs. 

  • ​​This position has a Remote location: Associate will have no regular requirement to be on-site. Travel on-site is limited to special events.​
