Nestle IT Product Owner - Social Collaboration in Assago, Italy

Position Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Product Owner to join our Social and Collaboration team. The main mission of this role is to drive the strategy and execution of our online social community product through the Employee Engagement platform like Workplace, Workibo or Viva Engage, and live events using Teams Town Hall and Zoom Live Events or new technologies.

Your role requires taking ownership of and prioritizing items in the product backlog, as well as delivering both strategic and tactical value throughout the product lifecycle. You work closely with your IT Product Manager to align releases with the product strategy and user needs. As the owner of the product backlog, you are responsible for prioritizing items and overseeing the entire product lifecycle, including ITIL service models. You also analyse and manage the value for money of the product, promote its adoption, and deliver applications that support Nestlé's goals of improving the end-user experience, standardizing work, and achieving above-market performance.

A Day in the Life of the Product Owner - Social Collaboration:

• Establish the product roadmap, manage product backlog, and define projects using Agile project methodologies.

• Establish product governance and ensure compliance by design.

• Establish milestones based on the roadmap & value delivery plan.

• Lead the development and maintenance of stakeholder mapping, communications and reporting.

• Lead reviews with executive sponsors and stakeholders to identify organic or specific product needs.

• Coordinate, prioritize and validate the Product items work of tech teams.

• Work closely with Tech Leads to ensure the long term viability of your products.

• Prepare strategy and communication materials that create a shared understanding of the product, in particular on how we sell it to our internal markets, deliver it, operate it and measure its success.

• Ensure your product delivers business value (following guidelines and KPIs from our CIO office.)

• Analyze and benchmark against external companies, specifically the TCO / value for money, to inform various application lifecycle decisions.

• Use data to analyze our product’s impact and adoption in markets. Work with customers to define and validate specific key value indicators (KVIs) and design key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve the product value.

• Apply User Persona based segmentation, Design Thinking and User Experience reviews to contextualize scientific applications’ capabilities, prioritize roadmap.

What will make you successful?

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably computer science and/or experience in a field related to our Insights product.

• Demonstrated experience in a product based IS/IT organization.

• 5+ years of experience in IS/IT (e.g. business analyst, product manager, etc.)

• Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Strong understanding of basic system engineering, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards

• Understanding of Agile methodologies

• Excellent understanding of business complexity and interdependencies

• Deep understanding of IT collaboration technologies and the IT landscape required to support functional requirements.

• Working knowledge of APIs & integration, consumer research and UI/UX

• Organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams.

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to use data and metrics to drive actions.
