STNA State Tested Nursing Assistant
The Employee shall use his/her best efforts to provide the highest level of professional service; conduct him/herself at all times with a pleasant and professional demeanor; and maintain and improve his/her job skills. Employee agrees at all times to perform his/her duties faithfully, industriously, and to the best of his/her ability, experience, and talent, to the satisfaction of Employer. The Employee's duties shall include, but not be limited to the following:
Scope:
Works directly with residents. Has contact and interaction with families and visitors as well as other disciplines (Laundry, Activities, etc.).
General Function:
Performs basic nursing care, routine general duties in a safe manner while providing resident care under the direction and supervision of a professional nurse after completion of the training program established by the Director of Nursing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman";="" display:="" inline-block"=""}Receives assignments, checks resident schedule for the day or shift;
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman";="" display:="" inline-block"=""}Gives routine care to residents. This includes proper bathing, good oral care, care of dentures, shampoos when necessary, shaves, hair and nail care, and proper dressing of resident;
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman";="" display:="" inline-block"=""}Makes beds, sets room in order;
•[ ]{times="" new="" roman";="" display:="" inline-block"=""}Checks diet trays with diet orders before serving, serving trays, helps food resident as necessary and removes trays when residents are finished;
