WORKFORCE RESOURCE INC Job Developer- W2 in ASHLAND, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Developer position is responsible for working with individuals to seek and obtain employment, guiding clients through entire employment process. Provide work readiness training and assistance for specific jobs. Will assist FEPs with Job Retention services. May assist in vocational assessment, career goal identification, career plan development, work readiness and job search training in conjunction with career planners and other staff. May observe program participants, interact with supervisors to gain insight into participant work behaviors and provide supervision of worker(s). Primary function of the position is to identify employment opportunities and place individuals in the W-2 program into subsidized and unsubsidized employment. This includes holding or participating in job fairs, meeting with employers, meeting with participants and their W-2 Career Planners for the purpose of matching or placing them into jobs, conducting site visits at subsidized employment sites, and other tasks that are related to developing relationships with employers. The secondary function is to contact and forge strong partnerships with other social service providers and employment programs across the multi-county service area. Target is to establish links and process for seamless referrals/warm hand-offs so customers can obtain services either not provided by WRI/W-2 or which enhance available resources to meet customer needs. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent interpersonal, team-work, problem solving, communication and computer skills, positive work ethic, ability to maintain accurate, neat, and complete records required. Knowledge and experience in vocational assessment, particularly with persons with disabilities, career planning, work readiness and job search training desirable. Job requires a valid driver\'s license and access to dependable transportation.
