How will you make an impact?

The Manufacturing Supervisor for Laboratory Refrigerators and Freezers (LRF) is responsible for leading all aspects of operations with general responsibility for safety, quality, delivery, and cost daily, while managing a team of approximately 35-40 employees made up of both Full Time Employees and Contractors.

A Day in the Life:

Ensure employees are following company policies and is responsible for issuing warnings if/when needed. Handle shift-to-shift communications to ensure detailed transition of work between shifts. Promote a safe and positive team environment to achieve daily production goals. Provide assistance the daily work to ensure schedule completion while leading utilization and efficiency. Trend production metrics to identify areas of improvement. Supervise and ensure compliance with ISO/GMP/FDA requirements. Maintain quality system by following SOP’s and work instructions. Review and update manufacturing documents as needed. Promote Practical Process Improvement and achieve cost saving goals. Open and lead problem reports/CAPA/Change Control as needed. Maintains staffing plan and reviews team member performance.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field is helpful.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Proven ability working in a manufacturing environment or related fast paced, impactful environment where leadership is required.

  • Expert people leader.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Proven track record to follow policies and procedures, instructions, and to meet project timelines consistently and independently. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to support daily operations. Strong written and verbal communication, and time management skills. Shown ability to apply problem solving methodology to understand root cause and implement solutions.
