Actalent Distribution Engineer in Asheville, North Carolina

Job Title: Distribution Engineer

We are seeking candidates with an Engineering degree to work as Distribution Engineers and Technicians on power distribution projects, specifically the Power Up project. These engineers will receive training from two S r level distribution engineers. Responsibilities will include performing engineering calculations such as structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices. Additional tasks involve preparing forestry trimming requests, facilitating permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, development of a Bill of Materials (BOM), and estimating costs. All projects will focus on electric power distribution and leadership, particularly in make-ready and smart antenna projects. The role involves 90% design development and coordination, with 10% fieldwork (after several months on the job).
