How will you make an impact?

The Assembler II will perform a wide variety of product assembly operations on product components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies to make crucial laboratory equipment and medical devices. They will work safely and ensure the best quality products are within specified takt times and drive continuous improvement in the factory.

A Day in the Life:

  • Selectappropriate componentsto align and assemble them inaccuratesequence by drilling holes, adding rivets, screws, bolts, braces, tape,cementor solder to meet specifications.

  • Read electrical wiring diagrams toaccomplishaccurateassembly.

  • Inspect parts during sub-assembly and at key points to ensure the unit meets specified quality standards prior to moving unit to the next workstation.

  • Use a wide range of hand tools, including, but not limited to drill, rivet gun, drill press.

  • Use SAP system shared plant-wide to enter product related data into computer system and trackcomponentserial numbers, scan bar codes, production rates, physical location, etc.

  • Order and retrieve supplies/materials such as cardboard, bags, and warehouse items using paper and SAP documents.

  • Troubleshoots work-related problems by applying knowledge and experience toward resolution and takingappropriate stepsforassistance.

  • Test assembled units; clean and pack final product.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Minimum of one year of proven experience in manufacturing, construction maintenance or industrial setting, preferred. *

  • Previousexperience with multiplecomponentmanufacturing production assembly.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to read and differentiate part numbers, labels, and work instructions.

  • Standing, bending,reachingand handling bulky parts is common to the job.Frequentlylifts upto 35 pounds.

  • Computer and keyboarding experience.
