Position Summary

The Senior Engineer is responsible for leading and leveraging cross functional talent across all levels and departments of manufacturing to drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Colleague Engagement within their manufacturing center Works to identify and resolves operational problems involved with material, method, machine, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Colleague Engagement

  • Lead and participates in cross functional team

  • Drive problem solving to root cause and permanent corrective action and cadence and accountability to meet improvement goals

  • Track and report on KPI’s

  • Collaborate with other leaders towards meeting plant specific objectives

  • Apply process analytics such as bottleneck analysis to focus team activity on what’s most impactful

  • Design parts and systems for high-speed manufacturing equipment such as instruments, controls, robotics, engines, machines, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems

  • Direct and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems for high-speed manufacturing equipment conforms to engineering design and customer specifications

  • Participate in safety programs via regular assignments while complying with OSHA and EBC standards

  • Provide input into performance evaluations of related subordinates, collaborates with supervisor, co-workers, and teams to meet departmental and company objectives

  • Provide mentoring and training within organization

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 5+ years professional technical experience in a production manufacturing environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or process related Engineering fields

  • High speed automated assembly experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel) and Data visualization

  • Knowledge of modern problem-solving techniques and systems

  • Knowledge and/or experience in applying lean principles

  • Exposure to maintenance systems and processes'

  • Familiar with safety and quality processes and systems

  • Process improvement aptitude with material, method, machine, man

  • Mechanical aptitude of equipment and systems

What we prefer

  • Indirect management/supervision experience

  • Knowledge 3D printing technology
