Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

The AWS Partner Organization (APO) is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to be responsible for planning, implementing, and delivering of programs and projects across multiple teams that support the technical management and enablement of AWS Partner Network Migration/Modernization partners across the globe. This TPM will be responsible for driving program standardization across global teams including stakeholder alignment, implementing mechanisms for cross-collaboration, interacting with various program teams, and coordinating across business partners and geographies.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution and delivery of projects and key programs across the Migrations and Modernization PSA team

  • Manage multiple-projects, spanning a number of technical teams and technology areas across multiple geographies

  • Own communication for technical and go-to-market delivery across these projects with senior leadership and partner organizations

  • Anticipate bottlenecks and balance business needs versus technical constraints to move these projects forward quickly

  • Work across business, product, and Solution Architect teams to balance business and technical variables to deliver mechanisms

  • Manage organizational roadmap and goals for the Migration and Modernization PSA team

  • Oversee gaps between teams, processes, and systems to better deliver organizational goals and improve our customer/partner experience

  • Analyze and prioritize investments into programs and tools with Partner Solution Architect Managers and Business Stakeholders

A day in the life

In this role you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with AWS architects, partner teams, geographic sales teams, and AWS industry teams to implement programs and solutions that accelerate customer AWS adoption of the cloud via our partners. You are experienced with program management, communications, reporting, strategy development, execution, and are highly organized. You also have an understanding of current cloud technology topics and partner well with technical and non-technical teams to collaborate on complex problems or opportunities, solving them with innovative solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 5+ years experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

  • 5+ years proven experience in managing large scale projects

  • 5+ years proven ability to work with strong technical leaders and product teams with the ability to influence road maps

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

  • Recommended to have some background in data center

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
