Amazon is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join the AWS Vulnerability Management organization to focus on our Amazon Dedicated

Clouds program. Our organization is accountable for the end-to-end software vulnerability lifecycle across all aspects of AWS. We are responsible for building the platform that monitors intelligence, detects vulnerabilities, drives remediation response, and drives innovation to meet the scale and demand of all AWS customers. Working with teams such as EC2, S3, RDS, CloudHSM, Containers, and Amazon Linux requires us to dive deep into all aspects of first- and third-party software across AWS including Operating Systems, firmware, databases, service/system hardening, cryptography, and audit analysis.

The successful candidate is one who loves working directly with software developers to understand their needs, and design security systems and solutions that enable developers to operate more effectively, securely and safely. You will work directly with service teams, partner security teams, and administrative teams to identify opportunities to improve our security posture. You are proactive in removing roadblocks, pave the way for innovation, and can handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be a positive influencer across diverse teams, be able to effectively rally support for your initiatives, and be able to help deeply technical teams create simple solutions to meet your program goals. You are able to handle business escalations with a data-driven approach to build trust with engineers and Senior Leaders.

Key job responsibilities

• Communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal format with leaders at every level at AWS

*Develop and execute multi-year project plans with an impact across Amazon business units to drive security excellence across multiple security domains, such as access control, vulnerability management, and secure software development.

• Lead initiatives aimed at identifying and eliminating security risks for Amazon and its partner teams

• Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of management, building trust across the organization, and demonstrating discretion with sensitive information

• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while driving teams to complete goals

• Demonstrate the ability to break abstract goals into attainable, measurable work items

• Define user experiences and requirements by developing high-quality PR/FAQ’s and effectively prioritize and manage the scope of each product launch to deliver key capabilities on time and on budget

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

• 3+ years of software development experience

• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
