Description
Allegient Defense provides technically oriented services from program management to advanced systems integration and engineering. We support Government and prime system integrators with engineering and management expertise. Allegient Defense helps clients with challenging Science & Technology, Engineering Acquisition, and Program Management Mission requirements. We are currently in search of a Sr. Program Engineer to support one of our DoD clients.
Responsibilities
Support ONR Program Officers on the Technology Candidate (TC), Future Naval Capabilities (FNC), and/or Innovative Naval Prototypes (INP) portfolios
Assist ONR Program Officers with program management of Science and Technology programs related to Kinetic Weapons and Advanced Energetic Materials
Qualifications
Experience in technologies related to Advanced Energetic Materials and/or Kinetic Weapon Systems.
Experience interfacing with various performer types such as industry and government performers.
Experience with the management of Science and Technology Programs and program transition to the warfighter.
Familiarity with the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) and/or acquisition Program Executive Offices (PEO). Previous experience working with or within OPNAV and/or PEO organizations is desired.
Required fiscal basic skills (e.g. excel and basic accounting/forecasting of execution budgets) - to coordinate with contract support fiscal staff, should also have rudimentary knowledge of DoD annual budgetary cycling, in order to oversee fiscal execution of highly technical efforts and identify risky behavior by performers.
Ability to effectively communicate and work with others at all levels.
Ability to work with sensitive information, including controlled unclassified information (CUI) and classified Secret.
Self-starter, goal-oriented individual who provides timely feedback on progress made on assignments.
Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks, handle complex assignments, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Requirements
Bachelors in technical field required. Master's or PhD degree preferred
10 Years of Program Management or Program Management support experience in Science and Technology or Acquisition Program Management with a M.S in a technical field related to the areas of science and technology investment; or 15 years of Program Management or Program Management support experience with a B.S.
DAWIA certification or FAC-P/PM certification or prior Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of Navy (DON) experience desired
US Citizenship
Secret Clearance required
