SURVICE is seeking a
Senior Software Prototyping Engineer with demonstrated experience in cutting edge technology, software engineering and experiment, software technology demonstration and evaluation, developing concepts of operation, and requirements analysis. This is a multi-year, multi-million dollar program.
As a
Senior Software Prototyping Engineer
you will:
- Work to formulate, integrate, demonstrate and test developmental and experimental software concepts with planned transition to end users.
- Work with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals.
- Develop and coordinate concepts and requirements for the application of current and emerging technologies as they apply to DoD's RandE program.
- Conduct software experimentation under measured conditions, exploring unknown effects of manipulating proposed warfighting concepts, technologies, or conditions to explore technology limits.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct software technology demonstration events with multiple prototype mission capabilities in operationally relevant environments.
- Make recommendations to the development of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) pertinent to mission needs and technical capabilities.
- Represent USD RandE on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and participate in Government-approved conferences and forums in addition to specific USD RandE projects.
Requirements:
- 15 years of experience of software engineering and Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDTandE).
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or engineering-related bachelor's or master's degree (Master's degree preferred).
- Previous experience with Department of Defense RDTandE mission and processes.
- Previous experience in software development and evaluation, software demonstration and CONOPS development.
- Understanding of developmental and experimental software concepts.
- Experience with Cross-Domain Solutions.
- Excellent writing, communication, and briefing skills.
