Amazon Senior Corporate Counsel, WW Operations in Arlington, Virginia
Description
We’re looking for a talented attorney to partner with and support our Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) team. SCOT develops and operates innovative solutions to manage our supply chain including what, when, and how much inventory to buy and where to place it to ensure products customers want are available for fast delivery. We do this for millions of items, for hundreds of product lines worth billions of dollars of inventory world-wide. Our systems are built in-house, and are on the forefront in automated large-scale supply chain planning and optimization systems.
You will (i) provide legal guidance on regulatory compliance, the development and deployment of AI systems, commercial agreements, software development, licensing, and intellectual property related to the development and design of these planning and optimization systems, and (ii) identify areas of risk (legal, reputational, and compliance) and mitigation measures related to technical architecture and program design.
The attorney will:
• Provide ongoing legal advice to a fast-moving and innovative team of engineers, scientists, economists, analysts, and technologists.
• Counsel on regulatory matters.
• Structure, draft and negotiate technology, supply chain, licensing, deployment, and other commercial agreements.
This position is based in Seattle, Washington D.C., or New York and some travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications
10+ years of legal experience
Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Experience in technology and commercial transactions or businesses
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization or equivalent
Experience working independently and directly with all levels of legal and business partners or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $272,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
