Amazon is seeking a proven technology Manager to implement Advanced Technology initiatives in Amazon Fulfillment centers. The Systems Integration Team supports WW Engineering Advanced Technologies in the deployment and development of: Robotics, Packaging Automation, Autonomous Vehicles and new Mechatronic systems. This position requires the ability to innovate, analyze, plan, organize, implement, and manage process improvement projects to maximize safe, economical, and effective use of materials, energy, and people.

Key job responsibilities

  • Guiding cross-functional teams of business and technical teams to deliver impactful results at Amazon speed.

  • Study, learn, and diagnose Amazon fulfillment operational processes, identify root causes and improvement opportunities, prescribe improvement strategies and guide the improvement effort.

  • Planning and designing systems that increase critical-to-quality (CTQ) business needs by improving integration of people, materials, equipment, software, and finance.

  • Leveraging and integrating advanced technology into process design to maximize return on investment and minimize costs.

  • Recommending and implementing changes to product design, safety procedures, work methods, and labor standards.

  • Project and Change management from conception to completion.

  • Setting clear goals and guiding a team to achieve those goals.

  • Writing clear documents, and guiding project meetings with Sr. Management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications:

  • Advanced technical (MS/MBA/PhD) degree with focus on Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Economics, and related areas.

  • Expert knowledge of tools including: Statistical Hypothesis testing, Optimization heuristics, DMAIC, Six Sigma, Simulation, Queueing Analysis

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in written and verbal communication

  • Experience developing and deploying large capital projects at global scale.

  • Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project), AutoCAD, and statistical tools (JMP or Minitab, SAS, SPSS, R, etc.)

  • Experience with change management and influencing, negotiating and communicating across multiple organization levels.

  • Travel up to 60% may be required.
