Amazon Principal Supply Chain Manager, Amazon Business Operations in Arlington, Virginia

Description

We are looking for a Principal, Supply Chain Manager role to lead AB North American Operations Concessions and defect elimination work. In this role you will own managing the different interfaces between customer feedback and the alignment within the AB Operations team and WW Operations and Tech partners to drive defect reductions.

You will identify and implement long-term strategy, develop processes and partnerships, maintain internal customer relationships, and champion data-driven decision-making to drive improvements to the overall AB customer delivery experience. This is a critical leadership role with significant visibility and impact, with responsibility for achieving operational alignment for AB’s Strategic vision across multiple VP orgs, why managing VP level goals tied to concessions and defect reduction.

Success in this role requires you to think strategically, communicating initiatives over a 3-year vision. You will perform deep dive analytics on existing processes, identify gaps and opportunities and create scalable long-term mechanisms to drive improvement, establish key project milestones and business requirements. The successful candidate will have experience influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. The role requires the candidate to be a self-starter with the ability work through ambiguity, being both strategic and analytical in their approach. The candidate must have the aptitude to incorporate new approaches and methodologies that are grounded in data-based recommendations. This role also has regular interaction with senior leaders and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

This role is ideally based in Bellevue, WA though other Amazon locations in Nashville, TN, Arlington, VA and Austin, TX may be considered.

Key job responsibilities

  • This position will partner directly with AB Customer Service, AB Abuse, Buyer/Abuse Prevention, Amazon Logistics to drive overall defect reduction.

  • Coordinate cross regional support, share best practices, influence partner team product roadmaps, and create joint operational planning cycle document across WW teams

  • Create dashboards and deep dive tools needed to support concessions reductions initiatives in all categories, work closely with the AB Analytics Teams to create these tools from a global summary view to detailed single-order analysis.

  • Navigate through ambiguity in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitments.

  • Own financial inputs for Network Wide cost savings strategy tied to Concession and Defect reduction.

As a leader within this organization, you will be involved in helping re-imagine what a B2B supply chain should look like and play a key role in the technology that will power our B2B supply chain.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 7+ years of working cross functionally across several teams experience

  • 10+ years of supply chain experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
