Amazon PR Specialist, Issues Management , Core Retail and Stores Trust and Reputation in Arlington, Virginia

Description

Amazon is looking for a strategic PR Specialist to join our Core Retail and Stores Trust and Reputation PR team, focusing on issues management. This individual should be a self-motivated and high-judgment PR professional who will be responsible for managing issues and media relations across the core retail shopping experience.

This individual will establish a deep understanding of the consumer and retail industry, and play an important role in identifying and rapidly responding to emerging topics, while also helping to develop forward-looking scenario plans in preparation for potentially negative news cycles for a diverse and challenging range of topics around the consumer shopping experience.

This position is for someone who can excel in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. This individual must be able to think quickly and communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders to address complicated scenarios. The role is never boring, and requires a team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.

In this role, you will work in a matrixed global organization, quickly building cross-functional working relationships. You will have an understanding of working with media on high-stakes matters, be an excellent writer, have an awareness of how to manage business-critical issues, and exercise good judgment while having a bias for action. As part of the role, you will work with key business leaders to help manage complicated reactive issues and news cycles, and you’ll help develop and execute communications strategies to build customer trust.

If you find that you thrive in busy, high-stress environments, are a self-starter, and enjoy diving into consumer-related issues, this role may be a great fit.
