Drug Enforcement Administration Management and Program Analyst in Arlington, Virginia

Summary This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Financial Management Division, Office of Administration (FS). This position(s) primary purpose will support and assist the Deputy Assistant Administrator (DAA) and FS staff to include but not limited to administrative, financial, audits, policies and procedures to support services activities for the organization. The position serves as the analyst for their respective unit. As a Management and Program Analyst, your typical work assignments may include: Leading priority projects and initiatives from project planning through implementation. Participating in facilities, fleet, property, office services, records management, and back office programs and operations by supporting leadership priorities. Analyzing administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of management on all matters pertaining to general services, records management, and Privacy Act. Developing in quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems. Planning, organizing, and directing team study work to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations where the proposals involve substantial agency resources. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicants must meet the AND Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification. GS-11: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to a GS-09 grade level performing the following duties: 1) Support operating policies, procedures, and guidance evaluations; 2) Assist with analysis and evaluations that encompass programmatic milestones, schedules, and budgetary resources; 3) Preparing drafts for reporting data, presentations, and preparing documentation. OR 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree; or Ph.D. Or equivalent doctoral degree; ORA combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. GS-12: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to a GS-11 level performing the following duties: 1) Evaluating policy issues and developing's operating policies, procedures and guidance pertaining to program areas; 2) Providing analysis and evaluations regarding programmatic milestones, schedules, and budgetary resources; 3) Preparing data reports, presentations, reviewing and preparing documentation. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
