Growth Strategy Not-for-Profit Director

As a Growth Strategy Director, you’ll help Not-for-Profit clients create a practical strategy that guides their organization’s transformation as it adapts to meet their vision and goals – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. We support our client’s ambitions to achieve sustainable growth and improve profitability through the right blend of collaborative design and subject matter expertise. Our solutions help clients activate market intelligence insights, sharpen strategy designs, prioritize demand generation investments, develop products and services, and realize strategic intent through enterprise operating model design. This enables our clients to rapidly activate enterprise priorities and establish a solid foundation for business transformation. Our Not-for-Profit Growth Strategy professionals bring a tailored approach to help develop and operationalize strategies to scale and create specific tactics that trigger transformation.

From day one, you’ll be empowered by the greater Growth Strategy team to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently.

Your day-to-day may include:

  • Work as part of a cross functional leadership team to manage, execute and deliver Growth Strategy service for Commercial & Growth

  • Serve as an advisor to our clients in support of their strategic initiatives

  • Effectively manage ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations, demonstrating strong analytical skills

  • Construct pragmatic approaches and frameworks to develop long-term business strategies

  • Perform accurate analysis and design effective solutions to a variety of client issues

  • Communicate effectively in a structured and knowledgeable manner in written and verbal formats to stakeholders

  • Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership material

  • Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work

  • Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management

  • Lead and support business development activities, such as identification, proposal development and other pursuit activities at clients

  • Serve as a coach and mentor to staff and senior associates in support of their professional development

  • Meeting or exceeding targeted billing hours (utilization)

  • Other duties as assigned

You have the following technical skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Communications or similar required, Master’s a plus, MBA preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross industry clients at a national level

  • Industry recognized professional certifications required

  • Relevant experience working with nonprofits, higher education institutions, and/or other mission-oriented organizations required

  • Deep knowledge of not-for-profit sector strategy, operational, and cultural attributes required

  • Must be able to perform quantitative and qualitative research and analysis; must possess deep familiarity with primary and secondary research techniques

  • Demonstrated new business development experience

  • Must be able to demonstrate creative problem-solving skills, critical thinking aptitude, and experience with data modeling and/or process mapping

  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in cross-functional teams

  • Effective project and time management skills for handling multiple priorities and simultaneous projects

  • Can travel as needed. Expected travel is up to 50%

The base salary range for this position in New York City is between $202,500 and $337,500.
