Your Impact

TheGeospatial Data Engineerwill perform rapid application design,ETL,dataanalysis, and interpretation. Develops rules andmethodologiesfordatacollection, integration, and analysis. Develop and maintain aPython-baseddatawarehouse processing system running in Google, AWS, andAzurecloud environments. You will work closely with intelligence analysts,ETLengineers, anddatabase administrators to incorporate new features and scale the application. Utilize best practices for source control, testing, and deployment of software changes.

Responsibilities

• Leadand participate in the architectural design of features early in the development cycle
• Work with Customer Stakeholders, Program Managers, and Product Owners to translate the road map features into management components/tasks, estimate timings, and resources, suggest solutions, and identify possible risk
• Support the team to ensure all committed stories for the sprint are completed per the sprint goal
• Conduct peer reviews to improve code quality
• Help to follow development testing, exploratory testing, AI testing, and/or testautomation
• Own your code in production, respond to incidents as they occur, and participate in retros to determine how to be better in the future
• Work towards reducing the total number of defects in the module/product to industry standards by catching and fixing issues early in development
• Resolve all critical and high-priority security defects in-sprint, or by theguidelines set by the SecOps team
• Help build high-performing teams, grow and mentor the t chnical skills within the team and create development opportunities for them

Required Skills

• Active TS/SCIclearancerequired.
• Bachelor'sdegreeinComputer Science, Engineering, or related technical field - Master'sdegreeis a plus!
• 5+ years ofexperienceas a software ordataengineer
• 5+ years ofexperiencedeveloping withPython
• Experiencewithscriptinglanguages such asPerl,PythonorJavascript and their associated Frameworks and tools
• Experienceworking in and developing applications and tools across technologies such as AWS,Azure, and Google Cloud.
• ExperiencewithRESTfulweb services.
• Demonstrated knowledge of open-source and commercialgeospatialsolutions likeGeoServer,MapServerorESRIArcGIS
• Practicalexperiencewith OpenGeospatialConsortium (OGC) standards-based web services such as Web Map Service (WMS), Web Feature Service (WFS) and Web Map Tile Service (WMTS).
• Experiencewith container technologies (e.g.Kubernetes,Docker, etc.)
• Understands and familiarity withSDLCconcepts such asAgile,DevOpsandCICDDelivery Pipelines
• Experienceworking with large volumes of time seriesdataand building services,APIs, and applications based of it
• Experienceworking with relational/non-relationaldatabases and understanding of storage technologies (likePostgresqlMongoDBandBigQuery)
• ExperiencewithDevOpstools like Git
• ExperiencewithAgiledevelopment concepts and related tools

Desired Skills

• Experienceworking with Node.js development with libraries like React.js and/or Electron
• Experiencewith remote procedural call technologies. Eg. gRPC and JSON RPC.
• Experiencein designing multi-tier application architecture and distributed caching solutions
• ExperienceinPythonparallelization/multiprocessing (e.g. Dask) and vectorization
• ExperiencewithPythonweb server frameworks likeFlask, FastAPI, Pydantic, Gunicorn, Uvicorn
• Knowledge with NLP modules including like NLTK, SpaCy and Gensim
• Knowledge ofGeospatialdataprocessing- Libraries include GeoPandas, Folium, Shapely, RasterIO,QGISandArcPy
• Knowledge ofPythonML stack modules like Scikit-learn, Keras andTensorflow
• DevOpsexperiencewith Google Cloud Platform,Azureand AWS
• Able to generate a RESTAPIwith a minimal amount of code
