Work hours other than 9AM to 5PM will be required.
Two to four (2 to 4) days overnight travel per week required.

Must be located in Arkansas or Oklahoma.

Salary Hourly rate is commensurate based on qualifications and relevant experience.

Job Summary
The Veterans Business Outreach Coordinator (Business Workshop Facilitator) will serve as the primary outreach coordinator and facilitator for the Boots to
Business and the Boots to Business Reboot program throughout Arkansas,
and Oklahoma. Serve as a vital member of the Veterans Business
Outreach Center to provide one-on-one business startup consultation and
other technical assistance including business plan development, marketing
plan development, financial statement analysis, business formation, access
to capital, government contracting assistance, and other small business
growth and development initiatives.
Must be located in Arkansas or Oklahoma . Access to military installations in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas. DD214 will be asked for, if applicable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for coordination, facilitation, and presentation of the Boots to Business and Boots to Business Reboot workshops and other entrepreneurial training and outreach initiatives to ensure achievement of the mission and goals of the Veterans Business Outreach Center and UTA College of Business.
Required to provide technical assistance and distribute program information via face-to-face, email, phone, webinar, or other effective communications, including:
Business plan development, mentor referral, access to capital and other small business resources with support from the U.S. Small Business Administration, Small Business Development Center, Service Corps of Retired Executives and Apex Accelerators (SBA, SBDC, SCORE, APEX Accelerators), UTA departments, and other small business community resource partners.
Required to attend local and regional outreach events and act as the unit liaison with other departments and with outside agencies including the SBA, SBDC, SCORE, Apex Accelerators, local EDCs, other entrepreneurial resource partners, and veteran services organizations (VSOs).
Frequent communications with active duty, reserve component, and combat veterans including Operation Enduring Freedom, Operations in and around Afghanistan, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operations in and around Iraq, Operation New Dawn (OEF/OIF/OND) via face-to-face and telephone to make appointments, answer questions, disseminate and/or explain information and promote program initiatives, interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Responsible for driving the identification of and documenting the formation of new businesses and business expansion activities by proactively soliciting, tracking, and reporting on client trends and business development milestones.
Responsible for maintaining accurate records and filing systems, including updating Neoserra, Salesforce, contact relationship management (CRM), and business travel and expense reports.
Perform other duties as assigned to assists with program planning and implementation and to determine future program needs.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience or comfortability working with veterans and veteran related service organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
US military veteran (including OEF/OIF/OND).
Familiarity with the Boots to Business and Boots to Business Reboot curriculum.
Experience as a small business consultant and/or startup business advisor.
Experience working with SBDC, SCORE, PTAC, SBA, and other entrepreneurial resource partners.
Experience consulting with C-level business owners and entrepreneurs.
Prior business ownership with knowledge of the small business startup process.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Working knowledge of business enterprises with an entrepreneurial mind-set.
Knowledge of basic marketing, accounting, and small business best practices.
Small group and large group presentation and workshop facilitation skills.
Knowledge of the use of personal computer, word processing, spreadsheet, database software, and presentation software and equipment.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills including empathy, trustworthiness, loyalty, integrity, and diligence.
Solid presentation and workshop facilitation skills.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Internet research methodologies.
Ability to complete physical tasks as needed.
