Transfer Center RN

Texas Health Resource is seeking to hire a Registered Nurse Transfer Center for our Patients Logistics department.

Position Highlights

Work location: Texas Health Resources 612 E Lamar Blvd Suite 200, Arlington, Texas 76011

Work hours: PT Days

As a Nurse Transfer you will coordinates and facilitates patient transfers from other health care facilities to THR following the Transfer Center's process Flow:

  • Collects clinical information to determine patient's level of care.

  • Collaborates with THR on-call physicians to arrange acceptance.

  • Determines if purchase services/reciprocal transfer agreement, payment guarantee, or any other financial agreements are necessary.

  • Transfer Center Data Collection.

  • Collection of specific data points as noted in the 2017 data collection process.

  • Maintain knowledge base regarding ever evolving changes at each facility.

  • Actively seek out changes and updates regarding the transfer process throughout the system.

  • Maintain physician modes of contact.

  • Maintain knowledge base of services provided by each entity.

Qualifications - External

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree Nursing required.

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred.

  • 2 years clinical Registered Nurse required.

  • 1 Year transfer center experience within the last year required

  • 1 Year THR transfer center experience within the last year preferred.

  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required.

Skills

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and problem solving skills.

  • Proficient in use of computers.

  • Outstanding verbal, non verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must possess a positive caring and calm attitude.

  • Must have time management skills.

  • Must have excellent listening skills.
