Registered Nurse, RN – Wound Ostomy and Continence / WOC

Location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial, 800 W. Randol Mill Road, Arlington TX 76012

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours weekly, Days

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing, BSN is required. Two (2) years nursing experience is required.

  • RN WOC experience is highly preferred.

  • Three (3) years of experience in RN skin/wound care is preferred.

  • Two (2) years of RN experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

  • Two (2) years of strong Med/Surg RN experience in acute care or wound care setting including charge/preceptor skills is preferred.

  • RN - Registered Nurse is required upon hire.Wound Care Certification is highly preferred prior to hire.

  • CWCN - Certified Wound Care Nurse or CWON - Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse or CWOCN - Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse is required within 6 months of hire.

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support is required prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly.

  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training is required within 90 days and mut be maintained annually.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for delivery of wound care treatments.

  • Work with other team members to resolve patient issues.

  • Ensure communication with other care providers is timely, accurate, and complete.

  • Post-operative patient/family teaching and discharge instructions, referrals and supply needs.

  • Utilizes evidence-based practice to administer wound care.
