Registered Nurse – ED - Full-Time Nights at Texas Health Arlington Memorial

Texas Health Arlington Memorial’s Emergency Department is looking for a top skilled RN. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Arlington: 800 W. Randol Mill Road Arlington, Texas 76012

Work hours: Full-Time (36 Hours a week) Night Shift from 7P-7A - 3/12 hour shifts per week

Department highlights:

· 50 bed ED which includes our vertical treatment area that is called the JET (joint evaluation and treatment).

· Level 3 trauma center

· Chest pain, CHF and stroke accredited through TJC and received a gold plus level (the highest level there is) for all 3 programs.

· Magnet facility

Here’s What You Need

· Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

· CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency

· Current RN licensure upon hire required

· BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

· ACLS – within 90 days required

· CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire

· PALS - within 90 days of hire

· TNCC - within 12 months of hire

· ATCN - Advanced Trauma Care Nurse – within 12 months of hire

· 1 year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required

· At least 1 year of ER or Critical Care experience preferred

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Intervenes as appropriate

· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
