Attendance Clerk - Elementary Support/Hourly - Position - Clerk - Campus
Primary Purpose:
- To assist in the efficient operation of the school office by serving as attendance clerk and assisting the school secretary.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- General Clerical and Computer Skills
- Excellent Telephone and Interpersonal Skills
- Bilingual Preferred (May be required based on job related campus need)
Minimum Experience:
- General Clerical Experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Specific Responsibilities and Duties
- Acts as receptionist for students, teachers, parents and visitors.
- Answers the telephone, directs calls to the proper person and/or takes messages
- Maintains student attendance records and monitors absences
- Calls parents of absent students who have not been cleared
- Reports any attendance problems to assistant principal(s).
- At end of day, prints/types updated Unexcused Absence Summary and distributes to assistant principals.
- Writes passes and admits for students
- Schedules teacher/parent conferences as needed
- Keeps a record of student tardies
- Enters daily attendance on computer
- Verifies attendance registers
- Serves as pupil accounting officer/clerk.
- Maintains teacher class lists.
- Registers new students
- Processes student cumulative folders.
- Out-of-District: copies, sends and requests
- From other AISD schools: requests or sends records and distributes to teacher(s).
- Withdraws students.
- Processes, verifies, and distributes attendance violation letters
- Prepares attendance reports
- Checks foreign student documentation
- Registers new kindergarten students at Round-Up.
- Sorts and distributes mail.
Shared Responsibilities:
- Assists with budget
- Assists with typing, filing, maintenance of machines,
- Assists in clinic in nurse's
