Robert Half Accounts Payable Manager in Arlington, Texas

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager in the education industry, based in Arlington, Texas. In this role, you will oversee the accounts payable function, manage a team of AP professionals, and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and financial records. Your responsibilities also extend to team leadership, reporting, data validation, vendor management, and contributing to process improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and financial records

• Lead, supervise, and manage a team of accounts payable professionals

• Conduct regular reporting activities to maintain transparency and ensure all financial records are up to date

• Validate data and financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards

• Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring smooth and efficient transaction processes

• Contribute to process improvement projects, providing expertise in accounts payable and financial management

• Oversee the transition to new ERP systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations

• Manage cost centers and ensure appropriate allocation of funds

• Ensure secure and efficient wire transfer and electronic payment processes Requirements • Must possess at least 5 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Manager in the education industry.

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) management.

• Demonstrated ability to validate data with precision.

• Proven experience in process improvement and leading process improvement projects.

• Familiarity with managing cost centers is essential.

• Should have the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.

• Experience with wire transfer and electronic payments is mandatory.

• Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• Must be proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Must have the ability to multitask and handle multiple accounts simultaneously.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary.

• Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws related to accounts payable is desirable.

• Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work under pressure.

• Professional certification such as Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) is a plus.
