Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant Manager of Process Improvement is responsible for spearheading process optimization initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves leading process improvements, managing change initiatives, and working closely with Process Improvement Analyst and the Workforce Manager to ensure timely and successful implementation of projects. The ideal candidate will excel in leadership, analytical skills, project management, and change management, with a focus on delivering impactful results.

  • Identify opportunities to decrease call volumes and transaction counts through detailed process analysis

  • Explore and recommend automation solutions, self-service options, and process changes to enhance operational efficiency

  • Collaborate with the Analyst to identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities and ensure alignment between analytical and pain point findings and strategic goals

  • Lead and oversee process improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all project goals and deliverables are achieved

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines

  • Prepare and present project updates and reports to leaders, highlighting progress, challenges, and results

  • Develop and execute change management strategies to support the successful implementation of initiatives

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to prepare them for changes and address any concerns

  • Facilitate training and support to help employees adapt to new processes and systems

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback, innovation, and the adoption of best practices

  • Act as a mentor and coach to team members, promoting professional development and enhancing team performance

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years of process improvement projects

  • 3+ years of professional work experience

  • Proficient with MS: PowerPoint, Word, Excel

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills

  • Exposure to change management facilitation and enterprise communication and training

  • Experience with process mapping and system analysis

  • Ability to travel domestic/international up to 10%

  • Ability to work from Arlington Heights and Willis Tower locations

  • Ability to observe the operation on all shifts, holidays, and IRROPs events as needed for research

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
