Eaton Corporation Material Handler/Kitter - Weekend Shift (Avery Creek) in Arden, North Carolina

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Material Handler/Kitter - Weekend Shift (Avery Creek). This position is based at our Avery's Creek, NC location. The primary function of this position is to sort, distribute, supply and package materials

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.

Shift Hours: 7am 7:30pm Friday - Sunday

What you’ll do:

Position Overview:

The primary function of this position is to sort, distribute, supply and package materials.

In this function you will:

• Ownership of storage racks including daily review of Racks, 5S+, Rack Labels, etc

• Load and unload steel trucks and/or copper truck as required

• Move material throughout the Fabrication as needed including keeping brakes staged with unbent parts, delivering bent parts to the paint line, and delivering completed fabricated components as required to rack locations.

• Keep pallet bins full of pallets.

• Assist in breaking out steel from Amada skeletons when necessary

• Weigh and empty scrap bins and record weight in spreadsheet.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• No relocation offered. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Avery Creek, NC in order to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

• Authorized to work in the United States without Company Sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year forklift experience within the last 3 years

• Previous experience as Material Handler

• Previous experience with Kanban

Position Skills Criteria:

• Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead

• Ability to climb ladders

• Proven history of safe work habits

• Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision

• Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, Excel, etc.

• Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
