About The Role Boston Scientific is seeking a Senior Manager in Cybersecurity specializing in Identity and Access Management (IAM) within the CISO organization. This role reports directly to the Director of Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering. The Senior Manager, IAM will lead and manage teams of analysts, specialists, engineers, and architects supporting critical cybersecurity functions: IAM Operations, IAM Engineering, and Application Onboarding. Responsibilities encompass financial management, procurement, IT policies, processes, procedures, and personnel management within the IAM pillar. The individual in this role is expected to collaborate effectively as a team player and internal consultant, spearheading significant organizational initiatives. They will foster strong relationships with internal business partners, formulate compelling recommendations through analytical research, develop impactful business strategies, and ensure high-quality deliverables and project management. This includes leveraging insights from customer feedback, competitive intelligence teams, and external market data. This hybrid opportunity requires approximately three days per week onsite at our Arden Hills, MN, or Marlborough, MA offices. Your responsibilities will include: Manage and lead large-scale, complex IAM engagements with globally distributed resources. Analyze IAM strategy needs and establish detailed objectives, goals, and priorities for implementing IT cybersecurity solutions to support functional initiatives or provide ongoing systems support. Provide project management for ongoing and future initiatives supporting IAM strategy for internal partners and businesses. Implement IAM program management, governance, and lead technical teams to ensure alignment with strategy and vision. Provide leadership and support for annual cybersecurity IAM strategies and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) submissions. Manage vendor support activities, maintenance agreements, and maintenance costs in areas of responsibility. Manage pillar-specific budgets including personnel (BSC and consultants), maintenance, travel, education, and miscellaneous expenditures. Provide management oversight of teams and their managers. Continuously improve and innovate our IAM capabilities to drive value, enhance employee experience, and secure digital assets. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and senior leadership, to define IAM requirements and priorities. Monitor and analyze IAM metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of IAM controls and identify areas for improvement. Stay current on emerging IAM technologies, trends, and best practices, and incorporate relevant insights into IAM strategies and solutions. Develop and deliver IAM training and awareness programs for employees to promote security awareness and best practices. Serve as a subject matter expert on IAM, providing guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders as needed. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a Security or IT-related field. 12+ years of experience in the IT industry. 3+ years of strong experience in people and project management. 5+ years of strong experience and working knowledge in the Identity and Access Management domain. Extensive knowledge of IAM solutions such as Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Privileged Access Management (PAM). Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead and execute IAM projects from inception to completion. Strong analytical skills for interpreting business requirements and translating them into technical specifications. Strong communication skills, including the ability to write security documentation, standards, and guidelines. Preferred Qualifications and Competencies: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities. MBA or a similar advanced degree. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, SANS, CCNA).
