About the role: The Analyst role within our Health Economics and Market Access team is supporting Boston Scientific's Neuromodulation business. A fundamental priority for this position will be supporting the development and implementation of health policy, health economics and reimbursement initiatives, through collaboration with cross-functional colleagues and external stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include: Monitor and conduct review of and report on annual CMS and/or Medicaid rules and regulations, including annual coding updates across the Neuromodulation business platforms, including development of formal comments and communication tools. Recommend, select, maintain and update health economic and reimbursement resources for the business unit, including coding guides and reimbursement calculators Primary owner and driver of Neuromodulation HEMA analytics and analytics resources to address reimbursement, coding and documentation inquiries from divisional sales force and key external stakeholders (e.g., hospitals, clinicians, investigator sites, professional societies). Assess reimbursement opportunities and challenges facing emerging technologies and commercially marketed products and communicate business impact to senior management. Collaborate with functional colleagues to inform strategic activities related to health economic research, health policy and business development. Support senior leadership to ensure health economics and reimbursement data are incorporated into product development/business strategies and timelines. Provide reimbursement support to market access team members and key external stakeholders (e.g., hospitals, clinicians, investigator sites, professional societies) as appropriate. Provide appropriate in-service training to sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, and legal to increase awareness and understanding of health economics and reimbursement. Help build relationships in key markets with government, physician, hospital, and third-party payer decision makers. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or post-secondary education Minimum 5 years' experience in big data, medical device/technology, biotech, pharmaceutical, health care, or IDN Mastery of platform tools and software applications, separately and in combination, such as IQVIA, Definitive, flat files and Medicare data files, XLS, Tableau, PowerBI, with ability to envision, create, translate and routinely deliver integrated views for specific inquiries, trends, dashboards, presentations, calculators, etc for a variety of users Demonstrated knowledge of CMS rules and regulations, including timing of annual reviews, publication locations and previous rule comment submissions Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. healthcare systems including health policy trends, payment systems (inpatient/outpatient/physician/ASC) and associated documentation/coding requirements Ability to advance initiatives independently and in a fast-paced matrix environment with minimal supervision Can-do attitude with attention to detail, and oriented to precision, accuracy, continuous learning and developing skills Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications skills Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, iPad applications) Preferred Qualifications: BA/BS in an analytical discipline such as statistics, economics, finance, mathematics or similar Familiarity with neuromodulation, spinal cord stimulation, interventional pain and brain rel ted procedures and products Coding certifications (e.g. Certified Professional Coder) Innovative, self-driven, higher performer, key contributor with proven track record Demonstrated responsiveness and sense of urgency when pursuing goals and completing tasks; thrives in fast pace environment Demonstrated ability to set and manage priorities, manage multiple competing, time critical projects Experience working as part of both functional and cross-functional, matrixed teams Requisition ID:592294 As a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most - united by a deep caring for human life.
