Description

We are in search of a Customer Service Representative to join our team in Monterey Park, California. In this role, you will be working in the healthcare industry, specifically in a call center setting, where you will become the primary point of contact for our members. You will be required to answer member questions, address their concerns, and provide comprehensive information about our plan benefits and services. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be bilingual in Vietnamese, Mandarin, Korean or Cantonese

• Act as the primary point of contact for members, prospective members, providers, brokers, and vendors.

• Address member questions and concerns regarding benefits, eligibility, referrals, claims, and other aspects of plan benefits and services.

• Ensure member satisfaction by providing superior customer service.

• Exhibit a professional demeanor and display a willingness to help at all times.

• Utilize a strong operational understanding to assess the needs of the caller and determine the most appropriate and effective course of action.

• Follow all appropriate Federal and State regulatory requirements and guidelines applicable to the healthcare plan operations.

• Maintain adherence to all HIPAA requirements.

• Utilize customer service software to maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Familiarize yourself with Basic Medical Terminology and Call Center Customer Service skills.

Requirements • The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a customer service role.

• Proficiency in basic medical terminology is required.

• Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment is essential.

• The applicant must be proficient in the use of customer service software.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.

• The ability to handle difficult customer interactions in a professional manner is a must.

• The candidate should have the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet are crucial for this role.

• The applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Availability to work in shifts, during weekends, or on holidays if needed.

• The candidate must have a reliable internet connection for remote work scenarios (if applicable).

• The ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations is necessary.

• Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
