OVERVIEW

The Instrument Technician is responsible to disassemble, repair, calibrate, install, construct, and modify advance electronics and pneumatic instrumentation.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The proper performance of assigned duties, including the observance of safety standards and good housekeeping requirements; the proper care of tools, materials, and equipment.

  • Perform duties in a workmanlike manner. Demonstrates a superior knowledge of advanced electronics including the ability to troubleshoot the most complicated circuitry and mechanisms.

  • Demonstrates the ability to readily comprehend new and complex systems and processes.

    WORK EXPERIENCES

  • A minimum of 3 years of industrial experience in electronics hydraulics and pneumatics and a thorough understanding of the construction and functioning of electronic and pneumatic equipment.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED is Preferred.

  • ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)

    Ability to understand, disassemble, repair, calibrate, install, construct, and modify (under supervision of Instrument Foreman) advance electronics and pneumatic instrumentation, including, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Electronic controls for fork lift trucks.

  • Electronic flame failure controls for boilers and kilns.

  • Electronic load cell weighing systems and controls.

  • Laboratory and environmental instruments, including waste water analyzers, turbidity meters, opacity meters, spectrophotometers, refractometers, and combustion analyzers as well as multimeters and Calibratiobmeters..

  • Combustion controls, including boiler master control.

  • Electronic packaging equipment including package lines and palletizers.

  • Pneumatic cascade and proportioning controls and relays.

  • Able to read and interpret PLC and Ladder logic.

  • Performs all jobs in accordance with established safety practices and sanitation standards.

    HOURLY RATE

  • Starting Rate: $42.64

  • Paid sick days and vacation after 90 day probationary period.
