Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance & Administration to manage all financial operations and contribute towards long-term financial planning and sustainability of a private school system. This role is integral to the leadership team, influencing decisions beneficial to the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Formulate and execute long-term strategic financial plans, including cash flow management

• Oversee accounting functions: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Payroll etc., ensuring compliance with laws, guidelines, and best practices.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and facilitate annual financial audits

• Develop annual system operating and capital budgets

• Supervise human resource functions: Hire, Evaluation, Compensation and Benefits Management

• Administer Facilities, Food Service, and Information Technology departments.

• Maintain banking relationships and manage cash management, working capital financing, and long-term financing needs.

• Manage insurance programs and facilitate annual scholarship determinations

• Supervise Accounting Manager, Facilities Manager, and Information Technology Director, managing their performance effectively.

• Ensure agreement with and adherence to policies defined in the Personnel Handbook.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance

• Minimum of seven years of progressive management/leadership experience

• CPAs highly encouraged to apply

• Excellent leadership, financial management, and strategic planning skills.

• Proficiency in technology, including hardware, software, and applications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Private school or non-profit work experience preferred.
