Responsibilities

Administer hyperbaric treatment to patients under the supervision of a physician.

• Operate and maintain hyperbaric chamber and associated systems and equipment as prescribed by a hyperbaric physician and under supervision of program director or clinical coordinator.

• Monitor patients in the chamber and record patient condition.

• Ensure patient comfort and report any unusual occurrences.

• Maintain operating, maintenance and safety logs on hyperbaric equipment.

• Keeps patient treatment records and collect data as required.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• One or more of the following required:

• Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Hyperbaric Tech credentialed from the National Board of Diving & Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. CNA certification on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with eligibility to work within a hospital setting.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
