Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Technician, your primary role will be to test finished products for various parameters including acid, salt, pH, and sulfites. You will conduct metal detection tests and evaluate fill weights, drained weights, defects, and abnormal colors or flavors. Your responsibilities also include ensuring correct coding on packaging and cases, performing audits, and resolving all issues related to product quality. You will be required to handle Quality Assurance/Control Paperwork and comply with GMPs, safety and quality standards, food safety measures, OSHA, and other safety regulations.

Job Type

This is a permanent position. Benefits and accrual of PTO and sick time is effective day 1. 10 paid holidays in a calendar year.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Bear Creek, Wisconsin.

Work Environment

This role is based in a food manufacturing facility specializing in sauerkraut production, where the smell can be intense, but proper equipment is provided to ensure adequate work setting. The position is primarily lab-based, but you will also need to collect samples on the production floor. Working hours are on the 3rd shift from 10pm to 6:30am with some overtime required on Saturdays during the harvest season. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates to gain exposure to a lab environment even with minimal experience.
