Our client, a leading player in the food and beverage industry, is seeking an Industrial Refrigeration Technician to join their team. As an Industrial Refrigeration Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department, supporting the production and facilities teams. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, which will align successfully with the organization.

Job Title: Industrial Refrigeration Technician - 3rd Shift

Location: Appleton, WI

Pay Range: $28-33/hr + % night shift

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing large HVAC/R equipment, including:

  • Ammonia refrigeration systems

  • Drive-in coolers/freezers

  • Process glycol chillers and boilers

  • Steam boilers and chemistry control

  • Water systems and chemistry control (e.g., reverse osmosis system, softeners, filters)

  • Glycol heat exchange systems

  • Compressed air systems

  • Hydraulics systems

  • Make-up air units

  • Participating in the Process Safety Management program.

  • Maintaining equipment logs and reports utilizing computerized maintenance systems.

  • Performing preventative maintenance on HVAC and utilities systems.

What’s Needed?

  • High School diploma/GED preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience preferred

  • Minimum of 1 year experience or education in HVAC/R or related field preferred.

  • RETA-CARO certification is preferred.

  • Must be able to work in hot and cold environments, lift up to 50 lbs. frequently, and work at heights.

In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

  • Willingness to abide by all plant rules/policies, including safety and GMP regulations, and perform good housekeeping practices

  • Ability to work in a team-based environment.
