JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Installer will support our customer base installing hollow metal, wood, and hardware applications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include the following: Required to wear and use Personal Protective Equipment per Tri City Glass & Door and contractor policies. Fabricate and install commercial hollow metal doors, hollow metal frames, windows, wood doors, and hardware. Read and understand work orders and shop drawings. Measure openings and inspect work performed by subcontract crews. Attend jobsite meetings while on site working and complete required paperwork and documentation. Assemble materials together with mechanical fasteners, rivets, sealants, and / or welding. Handle raw glass, hollow metal and wood on a regular basis. Load and unload glass, doors, frames and other products as needed. Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material, such as door panels, using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, or rulers. Fabricate or alter parts and other hardware needed to maximize efficiency of products using shears, hammers, punches, drills, welders while on the jobsite as needed. Maintain and have knowledge of existing and new products with the commercial department as well as basic construction. Cross reference all works orders with work to be completed. Communicate with the project manager to make sure jobs are done completely, correctly and on time. Read and understand installation instructions for any hardware or products used to complete the project. Work on your feet for long periods of time Work outside in year long. Work Environment The Installer will work outdoors year-round installing windows, entry doors, patio doors and screen porch rooms. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years of installer experienced, preferred. Welding experience, preferred. Mechanical aptitude with familiarity with hand tools, tape measures and levels, etc. Ability to work well in teams. Ability to prioritize and multitask.
