JOB REQUIREMENTS: BASIC FUNCTION The Herd Management Specialist, reporting to the Wisconsin Commercial Manager, is responsible for managing, developing and growing Herd Management products and services in Wisconsin. A key aspect of the position will deal with HM software support and helping customers achieve their facility goals, as well as assist in moving forward aftermarket products. RESPONSIBILITIES Drive the effectiveness of Herd Management products and services within Wisconsin (new installs, upgrades or updating software/equipment in facilities) Deliver training to customers on technical aspects of the products Leverage marketing intelligence from what competitors do in the market Leverage and build network of influential on dairies and in the industry Continue to develop current protocols, KPI\'s, SOP to help producers achieve desired goals Support local team through reports and communications daily, weekly, monthly Support producers through new and existing installations including new installation start up Support producers and local team with system performance audits and data reports Support herd management growth through key customer sales presentations REQUIRED SKILLS / COMPETENCIES A successful candidate will have the ability to serve as a dairy consultant understanding the issues on the farm and providing appropriate solutions based on DeLaval\'s product lines Strong communicator with the ability to influence others Competitive and outgoing, sales and technically oriented Works well individually as well as in a team Ability to travel within Wisconsin as needed EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND Minimum high school degree. B.A./B.S. in Animal Science, Sales or other relevant degree preferred (Software system trouble shooting or analysis) 3-5 years of experience in a closely related product area preferred Experience working through dealerships preferred EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND Minimum high school degree.
