Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Apex, North Carolina. The role primarily involves month-end close duties but also includes reconciliation, journal entries, and accounts payable. Responsibilities:

• Post necessary accruals and prepaid adjustments as needed

• Manage the employee expense reporting system, ensuring all transactions comply with company policy and are properly recorded in the accounting system

• Assist with the month-end close process, including posting journal entries, providing reports, and assisting with variance analysis

• Collaborate effectively with the team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting

• Provide information and prepare reports for the parent company as requested

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.

• Oversee all aspects of accounts payable tasks, including maintaining the vendor database, managing purchase orders, and entering vendor invoices/credits into the system

• Perform vendor account reconciliations and communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and account reconciliations

• Process check and ACH payments and maintain vendor files.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position

• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger management

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
