Your day at NTT DATA

The Senior Director, Global Master Planning & Due Diligence is responsible for leading a team of technical experts in conducting due diligence on potential land acquisitions, developing, and implementing utility infrastructure planning and design strategies, and managing a team of utility program managers. As a Senior Director, you will play a critical role in the success of our data center business, driving Strategic direction and innovation in technology due diligence, shaping the company's approach to tech-enabled utility infrastructure development.

What you'll be doing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a global team of technical experts in due diligence, site feasibility assessments, site master planning and utility program managers.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including land acquisition, legal, product, design, and construction, for seamless project planning and execution.

  • Develop and implement strategies for utility infrastructure planning and design, including engineering and design solutions, estimates, and risk analysis.

  • Manage a team of utility program managers, providing guidance and oversight on project development.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

  • Drive strategic direction and innovation in technology due diligence, shaping the company's approach to tech-enabled utility infrastructure deployment.

  • Identify and assess emerging technologies and innovations to improve infrastructure planning and design.

  • Develop and implement technology due diligence frameworks, standards, and best practices.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Proven leadership experience managing global teams.

  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure requirements and industry standards.

  • Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

  • Attention to detail with superior organizational skills; excellent time management skills with proven ability to deliver on tight timelines.

  • Superior analytical rigor and creativity required to present financials and technical due diligence, including alternatives that are data based, to drive tangible value to the business.

  • Executive presence – ability to present clearly and articulately to senior management across external and internal groups including third-party investors.

  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to coordinate activity with multiple business stakeholders.

  • Experience working in a remote work environment and managing distributed teams.

  • Strong English language skills; additional languages a plus.

  • Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards in North America, Europe, Africa, India, Asia, and Japan.

  • Strong leadership skills to guide and manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and achieving common goals.

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex strategic information to different audiences.

  • Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate potential targets, assess synergies, and make informed decisions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field.

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in a related field, with a focus on technical due diligence, utility management, or infrastructure development.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Remain stationary for long periods of time.

  • Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.

WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel required up to 50% of time.

  • Perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection.

This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $ 222,200.00 - $ 277,800.00

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance
