nVent Product Sustainability Leader in Anoka, Minnesota

Due to the growing demand for product sustainability information and the rapidly changing regulatory landscape, we are looking to hire an experienced Product Sustainability Leader who will quickly increase our internal knowledge and improve our product sustainability strategy and processes.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Develop and execute our product sustainability strategy and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
Be the products subject matter expert on all relevant regulations such as CSRD, Scope 3, CBAM as well as RoHS, REACH, Prop 65, TSCA, WEEE and Conflict Minerals.
Establish nVent’s definition for green technology and the standard set of green data for our products.
Implement the process and tools necessary to collect, track and report product sustainability impact and green data over entire product lifecycle
Be the product pillar representative on the enterprise sustainability steering team and support the completion of annual reports and sustainability surveys
Manage internal compliance team and oversee our environmental product data transparency and disclosure programs.
Set up a companywide Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) program, including software, and facilitate LCAs resulting in Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) based on business needs
Drive ESG improvements in product development based on the results of LCAs and customer needs
YOU HAVE:
Undergraduate degree required in chemistry, biology, engineering, sustainability or related field preferred. Higher education in science or engineering a plus
Ideally 7+ years experience and leadership in sustainability, or product environmental roles
Knowledgeable in environmental regulations and frameworks such as CSRD, CBAM, Scope 3
Experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology and software such as Simapro, Gabi Sphera, Ecochain Mobius, OneClick LCA, OpenLCA, and Umberto.
Ability to travel approximately 15% domestically and 5% internationally
