Job Title: MIG Welder

Job Description

Work in a very fast-paced, production environment. Perform Pulse (MIG) welding on mild steel using weld fixtures and weld symbols to complete units within a set time. Welders average 2,000-2,500 welds per day, focusing on consistent cosmetic welding. You must wear a weld helmet, gloves, weld jacket, steel toe boots, and ear plugs. Responsibilities include loading metal onto fixtures, using symbols to weld parts of the unit, unloading once complete, and passing the unit along to the next welder. Productivity is measured by the weld cell, not the individual welder.

Work Environment

Manufacturing facility that is not air-conditioned and can get hot during summer months. Requires bending, twisting, and lifting all day. Production-based welding.
