DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will perform security services to protect property, grounds, facilities, tenants, employees, and the public at Fort Indiantown Gap (FIG). This includes enforcing rules and regulations, controlling access to FIG and restricted areas, and responding to both routine and emergency calls. You will also assist and cooperate with emergency service personnel and local, state, and federal law enforcement authorities as needed. Share your security skills and contribute to our mission!

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. 8 hours per day; 40 hours per week Shift work, rotating schedule based on seniority, rotating days off. Work shifts are 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM / 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM / 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, 30-minute unpaid lunch. Travel and overtime: as needed. Schedule may change based on operational needs. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of security, law enforcement, or military experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements: You must possess an active motor vehicle license. You must obtain active National Crime Information Center (NCIC) certification issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation within the probationary period and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this job. You must obtain active Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) and Pennsylvania Justice Network (JNET) certifications issued by the Pennsylvania State Police within the probationary period and maintain certification for the duration of employment in this job. You must obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) as issued by the federal Department of Defense within the probationary period and maintain access for the duration of employment in this job.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
