As a Cloud Engineer, Senior, you will join the Cloud Infrastructure OutReach team to play a crucial role in enhancing our cloud environment through advanced cloud technologies. In this role you'll leverage your expertise in Cloud Technologies and Methodologies to assist the customer with migrating their legacy systems into a cloud environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Act as a consultant and advise customer projects/product teams with regards to architecting cloud-based environments for their applications and migrating to the cloud from legacy environments.

• Assess the customer’s current IT situation, identifying problem areas and/or areas for improvement, and items to consider when architecting a Cloud-based IT solution.

• Provide cloud guidance and recommendation fromstart to finish on cloud services to meet specific needs.

• Lead Technical exchange meetings and advise customers on path for transition/transformation to the cloud.

• Designs, develops, tests, debugs, and implements Cloud operating systems components, software tools and utilities.

• Determines systems Cloud software design requirements.

• Ensures that Cloud system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.

• Generates Cloud systems software engineering policies, standards, and procedures.

Basic Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Five years of additional related experience may be substituted for a degree.

• Knowledge of Amazon, Azure, Cloud Architecture Methodology, Cloud Storage Options.

• Knowledge of data storage solutions (RDS, DynamoDB, AWS S3 or Azure Storage), Network Security, High Availability/Reliability/Disaster Recovery.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 20 years' related experience.

• Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.

• Senior Linux scripting, Linux, servers, CentOS 7 and 8, Red Hat 8

• Experience documenting cloud training materials and cloud “best practices."

• Experience creating well-informed cloud architecture and migration strategies for various application use-cases

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
