Description

On behalf of a well respected and growing Robert Half client, we are seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team in the NON-profit/ government sector, based in ANN ARBOR, Michigan. The role involves handling Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate processing and recording of company's accounts payable transactions

• Conduct regular ledger and bank reconciliations

• Manage the accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable transactions

• Maintain up-to-date general ledger

• Generate journal entries and carry out month-end close procedures

• Apply expertise in Non-profit Accounting during financial operations

• Oversee and resolve all issues related to AP and AR activities

• Monitor the financial transactions and report any discrepancies

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.

  Requirements

Qualifications

• A bachelor degree or higher in Accounting or a related field is required

• Must be proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential

• Must have a solid understanding of the General Ledger, Journal Entries, and GAAP.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of Non-profit or Government Accounting is a plus
